个人简介

  

邓力,国际知名有机合成化学家,有机催化领域的创始者和引领者之一。现任西湖大学徐益明讲席教授、副校长、理学院执行院长。

邓力教授于清华大学获得理学学士学位(1987),威斯康星大学密尔沃基分校获得硕士学位(1990),在哈佛大学师从Eric. Jacobsen教授,获得博士学位(1995)。随后,获得美国癌症协会博士后奖学金,在哈佛大学George M. Whitesides和Gregory L. Verdine课题组从事博士后研究。1998年,受聘为美国布兰迪斯大学(Brandeis University)助理教授并开始独立研究。2003年,晋升为副教授并获得终身教职。2005年,晋升为教授和终身讲席教授(Orrie Friedman Distinguished Professor),曾在2011-2014年期间担任化学系主任。2018年7月,邓力教授全职加入西湖大学。



学术成果


邓力教授自1998年以来一直致力于有机小分子催化反应及机理研究,以及相关反应在有机合成中的应用,并取得了原创而系统性的重要学术成果。国际同行公认其为不对称有机催化领域的开创者和引领者之一。在该领域,邓力教授有关弱键有机催化的系统性研究产生了广泛影响。其建立的新概念和策略,被世界各地高校及实验室广泛应用到开发多种新型催化剂和新反应的过程中。邓力教授团队研究开发的众多新催化剂及反应大量应用于学术界及工业界的化学合成,并且已授权给知名试剂、制药和化学公司开发和使用。

近年来,邓力教授研究小组在Nature和J. Am. Chem. Soc.上报道了一系列接近生物酶效率的新型有机分子催化剂,实现了一系列高价值新反应的开发,这些成果代表了当今有机催化领域的最前沿。

邓力教授受邀在国际会议、知名科研院所和大学、跨国制药公司,举办了160余场讲座。邓力教授曾担任跨国制药及化学公司(Astra Zeneca,Abbott Biosciences,Wuxi Pharma,Merck等)顾问。此外,作为专家委员会成员,在美国、中国内地、香港及新加坡等地参与政府或社会科学基金(未来科学大奖、科学探索奖等)的评审,科研院所及大学的评估,Nature,JACS,Angewandte Chemie,Nature Chemistry等多家国际著名学术期刊的审稿人。

邓力教授曾获美国Research Innovation Award, Research Corporation(1998),美国New Investigator Award, The Medical Foundation(1999),美国斯隆研究奖Sloan Research Fellowship(2003),日本科学促进会会士奖JSPS(Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences Fellowship(2007),陈氏有机化学奖Chan Memorial Award in Organic Chemistry(2008),以及美国化学会亚瑟·柯普学者奖Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award(2020)。
