主讲人简介/Biography:

Yuan Liu is a Professor at the School of Physics and Electronics, Hunan University, China. He received his B.S. degree from the Zhejiang University in 2010, and his Ph.D. degree from University of California, Los Angles in 2015. He was previously postdoc researcher in University of California, Los Angeles before joining Hunan University in 2017. His current research interests include novel electronics and optoelectronics based on new semiconductor materials and new device structure.

讲座摘要/Abstract:

Two-dimensional (2D) transition-metal dichalcogenides have been demonstrated to be excellent semiconductors for ultrathin field-effect transistors. However, due to the ultra-thin body thickness, conventional energy integration strategies (such as PVD, CVD, ALD) will introduce considerable defects to the delicate 2D lattice. In this report, a series of high-performance electronic devices based on two-dimensional materials are constructed by using van der Waals integration as a low-energy integration method. Van der Waals metal electrode integration method is also applicable to a variety of vertical devices and heterojunction devices, thus ensuring the intrinsic performance of two-dimensional semiconductor in small size.
