主讲人简介/Biography:
Prof. Ruikang Tang is a Qiushi Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University. He obtained his B.S. degree and Ph.D. degree at Nanjing University from 1991 to 1998. After that, he did postdoctoral research at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In 2005, he joined the Department of Chemistry of Zhejiang University. Since then, he has focused on interdisciplinary research related to biomineralization, created the concept of "inorganic ion polymerization”, and pioneered a new multidisciplinary research direction of "Regulating biology by materials". He has published more than 200 papers in prestigious journals such as Nature and Science.
讲座摘要/Abstract:
Inorganic ion polymerization is a new concept of making inorganic materials through polymerization, which breaks through traditional chemical concepts. With controlled inorganic ion polymerization, a series of new plastic-like inorganic materials can be created, and some of them can be used for tooth enamel regeneration. Furthermore, through organic-inorganic copolymerization, artificial materials with precisely designed structures can be prepared to achieve material properties similar to or even surpass natural materials.
