主讲人简介:李昂,中国科学院上海有机化学研究所研究员。2004年在北京大学获得理学学士学位,师从杨震教授。2009年在美国Scripps研究所获得博士学位,2010年在新加坡化学与工程科学研究所进行博士后研究,一直师从K.C. Nicolaou教授。2010年9月任中国科学院上海有机化学研究所研究员,加入生命有机化学国家重点实验室开展独立研究工作。主要从事天然产物的化学合成和作用机制研究,系统地发展了电环化−芳构化、Prins环化等策略,实现了百余个天然产物的合成。2015年获得国家杰出青年科学基金资助。曾获Thieme−IUPAC Prize in Synthetic Organic Chemistry、Tetrahedron Young Investigator Award for Organic Synthesis、科学探索奖等学术奖励。

Biography: Ang Li, Professor of State Key Laboratory of Bioorganic and Natural Products Chemistry, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences. After got his Bachelor’s degree in Peking University in 2004, following Prof. Zhen Yang, he went to The Scripps Research Institute, and got his Ph.D. in 2009, with advisor Prof. K. C. Nicolau. Then he moved to Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences, served as Research fellow after Prof. K. C. Nicolau in 2010. And in the same year, he joined State Key Laboratory of Bioorganic and Natural Products Chemistry in SIOC as a Professor, and started his own career in organic synthsis. Interesting in total synthesis of structurally and biologically interesting natural products, he had achieved elegant synthesis of more than one hundred nature products, with prolonging development in  electrocyclization-aromatization, Prins cyclization and other strategies. During his career, he had got a bunch of award, including Thieme−IUPAC Prize in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Tetrahedron Young Investigator Award for Organic Synthesis, Xplorer Prize in Chemistry and Material Science 2020 and other honors and awards in Academics. 



摘要/Abstract: Biomimetic synthesis is a fundamental approach to the chemical synthesis of natural products, which, due to the intrinsic correlation between the biogenesis and the structure of natural products, offers many advantages. Conventional biomimetic strategies have evolved on a principle featuring “(essentially) the same substrates, similar reactions, and similar pathways”, which defines the pattern of biomimetic synthesis from the structural, mechanistic, and sequential perspectives. In practice, such highly imitative approaches have proved considerably feasible and efficient. However, applicability of this type of approach is also limited by the principle. To enhance the power of biomimetic synthesis, we envision generalized biomimetic strategies focusing on the key bond formation/cleavage sites implied by the biogenesis of natural products, which allow us to take full advantage of altered substrates, reactions, and pathways while retaining the inherent advantages of biomimetic synthesis. In this lecture, we showcased the utility of generalized biomimetic strategies in the synthesis of a series of natural products, in particular Daphniphyllum alkaloids.
